My Biggest Blogging Challenges

Hey guys,

How are you doing today? Today’s post got me so excited. Can’t figure if it’s because of the style pictures or the topic itself. Just finished completing blog consultations for my “1-week free blog consultation program” winners, remember that? And, I can’t describe how much things I learned from analyzing and just communicating with the bloggers. I enjoy helping other bloggers grow and the whole experience was just wonderful. Thank you guys for trusting me with your blog, I hope I was able to help you shed clarity on some things. 

Moving on, today’s post simply focuses on one common question the bloggers I did the consultation for asked but also, one of the FAQ. What are my biggest blogging challenges and how did I solve them?

• Finding my niche: I started writing about fashion trends which I really enjoyed back then. For Over 2 years, my blog was focused on fashion writing but I’ve always known I wanted more out of it. I knew I wanted to share more and make my blog a very resourceful platform for people but I didn’t know how.
• Solution: I had to take a step back, ask myself several questions such as: What do I love to read about? What do I enjoy reading other platforms? Who are my favorite bloggers? But, the biggest question that changed everything was: What is that one thing I can’t talk about for hours or even in my sleep? Business and tips. I realized how much time I spend on reading business articles online which I apply to my personal business and even share with friends and family. I spend a great amount of time on making myself a better blogger and spicing up my blog. These two things are areas I am extremely passionate about. So, I thoughts, why not go back to the reason I started the blog initially? To share things I am passionate about.
• What to write about: This used to be a big problem for me. I would spend hours on brainstorming on what to write about. Many bloggers struggle with this lot, so don’t ever think it’s just you. Even big content creators struggle with this.
• Solution: Rather than spending so much time on brainstorm and thinking of what to write about. I switched it up by spending those time on reading around my niche. Reading articles related to my niche seems to be more productive and actually generate more ideas for me than ever before. 
• Photography: I initially never had a problem with getting someone to take my pictures. Matter of fact, I had a camera for over 2 years and rarely used it. I had a friend who was studying photography. For 2 years, we worked together based on an agreement. But then, when I graduated from University, I had to sort myself out.
• Solution: Now, I got a new camera with no “Photographer” to help me out. Well, guess what? I had to learn. I spent hours on YouTube watching tutorials on my camera settings. Now, I just get anyone willing to dedicate hours of their precious time to take pictures, put them in front of the camera at first to get the correct setting and switch position. I am the model, director, and editor. I make sure to check the pictures after 4-6 shots then give a clear direction to the person behind the camera to capture the angles I want. Voila! 

• Making people read your blog/Traffic: It can be frustrating to spend hours on a post and eventually get a very poor result. It’s easy to advise people not to focus on stats but in reality, we all struggle with that. I used to get very discouraged when I go back to my post days after and realize there are just 1 or 2 comments and few clicks. 
• Solution: Well, rather than focusing ‘so much’ on stats and numbers, I focused more on listening to my readers and getting to know them better. When you really understand your readers, you will know what to create for them which will in-return get them engaged with you. I make sure, I start replying to all comments. I would post more contents that got high engagement. Then, I started seeing some changes.
• Engagement: This is also one of the biggest challenges for bloggers out there including myself. How to keep your followers/readers engaged. We all love that feeling of 6 comments notifications or coming back to the blog dashboard and see 5/7 comments to reply to. I personally love comments, Likes are nice but I would rather have high numbers of comments than like simply because I feel someone actually spent the time to write something because my post is worth it. If you are really struggling with engagement either on your blog or social media platforms, again focus on your content
• Solution: I would say this time, focus on creating original and good content. After that, be real as much as you can. I struggle a bit with opening up totally to people on my blog or social platforms simply because I am extremely a very private person, however, I stay real with myself. Know that being open and real are two different things. Be yourself, people will connect and relate better with you. Create original content and be consistent.
