Bilingual (English & French) UX Designer
My name is Maryam Salam and I am passionate about improving user experience.
My passion for design started from my teenage years in France where I started an online blog. I would usually play around with different designs on WordPress to build a blog that represents me but is also functional for my readers.
Then, I went ahead to acquire my first degree in Fashion Marketing and Branding at Nottingham Trent University in Nottingham (UK) where I learned so much about understanding customers’ needs and experience as a business.
Then, I pursued a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and International Business at Aston University Business School in Birmingham (UK) where I learned so much about the entirety of building a business that prioritizes users’ experience both online and offline.
Because of my strong passion for user experience, I challenged myself to acquire in-depth knowledge in UX/UI through research, workshops, and most especially taking the Google UX Design certification course.
I was able to learn a lot about the design process, concepts, and theories of UX design. I believe that my background knowledge and experience in branding, marketing, content creation and mostly design acquired over the years has built me to be the forward-thinking person that I am today with great communication and interpersonal skills.
